Din Tai Fung @ Pavillion KL

Heard my friend said that there's a great lunch promo at Din Tai Fung at Pavillion . . . And here I am . . .

Din Tai Fung is originated from Taiwan . . . They are famous for their Xiao Long Bao (small steamed dumplings / buns) . . . One thing that definitely satisfied me is their services . . . Which is really fast and good . . .

This is their lunch promo . . . reasonable isn't it . . . with just RM19.80 you'll get 6pcs of Xiao Long Bao which 3pcs are pork meat and another 3pcs are crab meats . . . Then u got to choose 1 main dish from any 4 of their choices . . . this promo is only on the weekdays ya! . . .

But wait . . . If you are using Maybank or Amex credit card . . . just tell them and you'll get another basket (6pcs) of Xiao Long Bao!!!

Here's the Xiao Long Bao . . . Ok . . . How do you differentiate which ones are the pork meat and which are the crab meat . . . Can you see the white beans there . . . The ones that are closes to the white beans are the ones with crab meat . . .

A good Xiao Long Bao . . . is that you can pick it up with your chopsticks onto your spoon and it doesn't stick at the basket's cloth without breaking it . . . The soup from the meats is really tasty . . . But for me I still prefer the ones with pork meat . . .

There are actually 3 of us so we only ordered 2 sets lunch plus another basket of dumplings which is FOC cause my friend is paying with his credit card . . . Hehehe . . .

Ordered a Cong You La Mian (Hand-pulled noodle with soy sauce and spring onions) . . . I really like this dish very much although it is simple just with soy sauce and also some shredded chicken breast . . . But the taste of it just so good . . . Not too salty nor sweet . . . Their La Mian is really good too . . .

Another noodle we ordered was their Hot and Sour Soup La Mian . . . Just like the name . . . it is hot . . and sour . . . however I find it too sour for me and I doesn't really taste the hotness of it also . . . And the soup is too thick for my liking . . .

Ordered another side dish . . . Beef Brisket Soup . . .a must have for me whenever I saw this dish . . . this one here is not bad . . . the taste of the beef in the soup is rich but I would it to taste stronger . . . Only bad thing is it only has 3 small pieces of the beef brisket . . . and it cost Almost RM20.00 for this dish . . .

Craving for Marbled Goby @ Gohtong Jaya

Went to Gohtong Jaya for dinner last Friday as my fren was craving for Marbled Goby (Soon Hock) . . . so I just tagged along . . .

Reach there about 7:30pm . . . Kedai Makanan Loong Kee . . . my frens' favourite . . .

The Star of the night!!! . . . Marbled Goby (Soon Hock) . . . this fish is around 1.5kg and it cost more than RM200 . . . the fish is really tender and juicy . . . you can really taste the sweetness of the fish itself . . . simply superb . . .

This Clams dish is definitely one of the best I had of all the others elsewhere . . . they serves the clams raw on the plate and then only they pour the soup onto it and heat it up . . . it cooks directly infront of you . . . !!!fresh! fresh! fresh! all I can say!!! . . . the taste of the soup is so so so good . . .

Glass noodle with Fresh Water Prawn . . . Big Head Prawn (Dai Tao Har) . . . this dish is a failure!!! . . . totally wasted the freshness of the prawns . . . all I can taste is just Pepper . . . couldn't taste the Prawns at all . . .

This is their Signature Deep Fried Sliced Pork . . . the taste of honey is just right . . . not too sweet . . . and it is really crispy . . .

Last but not least . . . a vegetable dish of coz . . . Stir Fry Sweet Potato Leaves (Fan Shu Yip) with Garlic . . .

The Fish and Clams are really good . . . well worth it . . . the pork was ok but the Prawns was really a disappointment . . . and the vege is just normal . . . overall not bad . . . will definitely come back for the clams!!! . . . as for the fish . . . Yes I would as long as someone is paying!!! hahaha . . .

Total cost us RM310.00 . . .

tsk tsk . . . trust me . . . it cost us really more than that coz we went to the hill top after the dinner . . .get it?hahaha . . .

Restaurant Empayar Seremban Siew Pow

After the the long drive from Kluang's Felda Kahang Timur . . . here am I . . . at Seremban!!! . . .

Seremban Siew Pow Restaurant . . . where the famous Siew Pow comes from . . . seriously if for those who haven't try their Siew Pow . . . I advice you should go do so!!! . . . it is just delicious . . .

But this time was here for lunch as me and my fren is really hungry . . . we did buy back the Siew Pow though . . .

Alots of varieties of dishes you can choose from . . .

Over here . . . besides the Siew Pow . . . they are famous for their Ebi Kirin - Prawn . . . this prawn is special coz it doesn't have the vein (their euphemism for the digestive tract) where all other prawns has . . .

This Ebi Kirin is best eat with just boiled it (Pak Cheok) . . . its juicy and sweet . . .

Their Salt Cooked Chicken (Yim Guk Kai) is really good too . . . a small size chicken (Malai Kai) just nice for 2 person . . .

This is the first time I have this dish . . . Stir Fried Bitter Melon with Salted Egg (Ham Dan Fu Gua) . . . not bad too . . . but I preferred the Bitter Melon to be more bitter!!!

This lunch cost us around RM60.00 ++ . . . overall - well worth it!!! A+++

How to get there . . .

Kluang's Felda Kahang Timur

3 weeks ago was asked by my fren from LENOVO to accompany him to go to Kluang . . . to help him deliver some netbooks to the school there for the government's MCMC project for rural folks students . . . as the stocks is late so he needs to deliver some 50 units 1st ahead of the forwarder to buy them some time . . .

Have to wake up at 3:00am in the morning head to LCCT 1st (MAS Cargo) . . . was told the the stocks will arrive at 4:30am . . . eventually we waited until 6:45am only the container came out from the cargo custom . . . after loading 45units . . . we started the journey at 7:00am . . . by right we need to reach there before 9:00am . . . so definitely will be late . . . my fren was quite tired so I took over and drive . . . guess what . . . managed to reach Kluang at around 8:40am I think . . . and we reach the SK LKTP Kahang school at 9:25am . . . so we are 25mins late only . . . not bad eh!!! . . .

It is because I was speeding all the way . . . :-P

Dewan Semarak - the school's hall

Total 45units . . .

People already started to register and waiting for their computers . . .

All you need to do is to sign-up a broadband service which is RM25.00 per month for 2 years then you'll get a netbook for free . . . but of coz you need to be qualified to sign-up . . .

This area have 1000 students . . . so another 955units is on the way . . .

The 1st student to get the netbook . . . she was all happy doesn't she . . . she even forget to take back the her identity card . . .

Most of the students are Malays . . . some Indians and a few Chinese only . . .

Finally the lorry reached at around 11:00am . . .

Hand - in - hand . . .

by the way . . . this area was covered by CELCOM . . . we left at around 12:30pm . . . heading to Seremban for lunch! YaY!!
